Sometimes you get lucky and have a big moment!
This was one for me. Sammy Rabbit and I were traveling to the Washington D.C., Virginia and Maryland area.
In the "old days" we use to do this twice a year. On this trip, Kiplinger columnist, author and kids and money expert Janet Bodnar agreed to witness first hand, what she later described as our "dynamic brand" of financial education.
She could not have been nicer. Janet arrived early. She stayed late. And, she was genuinely filled with curiosity, questions and amazement.
It was not only a big moment, it exceeded expectations.
I still consider her book, Raising Money Smart Kids: What They Need to Know About Money and How to Tell Them the "Gold Karat Standard" in youth financial education.
