First Job

My first job was at Giant Food as a cashier. I was in high school at the time, and working with money was something that I had never done before.

The thing that I remember most about my first job was how strict the management was when it came to counting the register drawer at the end of each shift.

If the drawer was even a few dollars off, they would make you stay until it was balanced.

I quickly learned the importance of being accurate with money and it was a great lesson to learn early on.

Lasting Impact and Meaning  

My first job was and is still meaningful to me because it was my introduction to the world of work and money.

It's where I learned the importance of being accurate with money and of saving.

But more importantly, it's where I learned that finding new ways to make money is even more important than saving money.

And that's a lesson that has stuck with me throughout my journey to financial freedom.

Have Multiple Sources of Income

I've learned that it's important to have multiple streams of income and not rely on just one source.

So I continue to look for new ways to make money and I teach others about the importance of financial freedom.

And I also continue to be mindful of my spending and saving.
