1. Do you save (or invest) regularly? In other words, have you made saving a habit? Why or why not?
2. What are the 3 biggest financial hurdles teenagers and college students face and why?
3. How can we help teens avoid college student debt?
4. Do you budget? If so, why and how do you go about it? If not, why not?
5. What do you think are 3 pros and 3 cons of budgeting?
6. What role do debit or credit cards currently play in your life? Share what your experience has been so far. And, if you have a strategy related to your use of debit or credit cards, please share a little about it.
7. Do you track your and measure your money? If so, why? If not, why not?
8. Do you use any money Apps? If so, what is your favorite money App and why? If not, why not?
9. Do you have a strategy for spending? If so, share what the strategy is and how it is helpful to you? If not, share how someone else, like a parent, might describe your spending behavior?
10. How much do you estimate you will earn in your working lifetime? Share your projection and describe how you went about calculating your projection including assumptions.
11. At age 65, how much do you estimate of your lifetime earnings you will have retained and transformed into assets like savings, investments, real estate, retirement accounts, etc.?
12. Since the age of 13, approximately how much money do you think you have earned or received and are you able to account for where the money is or has gone? Share some of your thinking and feelings in considering this question.
