An Abundance of Financial Literacy Education Exists — Despite What You May Hear
Despite disempowering narratives to the contrary, an abundance of financial literacy education already exists—free, accessible, and available to anyone who wants to teach or learn. Across the country, organizations large and small are working hard to empower kids, families, and communities with the knowledge and habits that lead to financial well-being.
One of the most consistent and long-standing sources of free financial education is the Federal Reserve System. Each of the 12 regional Federal Reserve Banks offers programs, lesson plans, workshops, and tools designed to help learners of all ages understand money, banking, economics, and personal finance.

Soon, we will share even more free resources that anyone, anywhere can access—tools designed to help parents, teachers, students, and community leaders strengthen financial habits, build money confidence, and dream bigger.

Let’s All Help Raise Awareness—Early Financial Literacy Matters
While there is an abundance of financial literacy education available, including Sammy Rabbit products and services, awareness of these resources remains one of the biggest challenges. Countless parents, educators, and community leaders simply don’t know that high-quality, free materials already exist—or how early they can (and should) begin teaching children about money.
That’s where all of us come in.
If we want kids, families, and communities to become financially literate, we must work together to amplify the message, share resources, and make early-age financial education a visible priority. Research and real-world experience show that habits form young. When children learn the basics early—saving, planning, sharing, understanding needs vs. wants—they build the confidence and competencies that support them for life.
By talking about financial literacy consistently, posting resources, inviting conversations, and modeling good habits, we help create a culture where learning about money is normal, celebrated, and accessible.
The tools are out there. Now we just need more voices, more champions, and more awareness to ensure every child has the opportunity to build strong money habits and brighter futures.
